Which classic cars have appreciated in value quickest?

I want to get a classic car because I love them, but the only way that I can convince my family to let me have one will be to tell them that it's an investment. I know that classic cars appreciate in value, but which ones appreciate the quickest?

1. all of them are appreciating but any dodge, plymouth, especially the chargers, road runners, cuda's, challengers or any R/T models are sky rocketing right now, I figure they all will start losing value after the next 10 yrs. as all the baby boomers will be dying off and thats who's fueling the market on them right now.
2. The only way they'd be worth the investment is if you can go back in time to the 1920s and buy one for $200.
3. When you say you need to convince your family, do you mean Mom and dad or your wife and kids? Classic vehicles appreciate at different rates and at different times. A good example is the sudden spike in the "Starsky and Hutch" Torino or the "General Lee" Charger. When a film features a car it seems to effect the prices. Others become the flavor of the month, so to speak. What should be important is to get one that you like if you are buying it to keep. If you are looking to "flip it" fairly soon, do some homework and watch the market (eBay, auction sites, etc.) I have a couple of classics myself. I don't have them because of the investment value, although it is a nice aside. I have them because I enjoy the fact that there aren't a bazillion of them on the road.
4. Right now if you buy anything like a charger or a road runner,anything with the mopar name on it ,you will see it go up in value a lot,it used to be that all of them would go up,but for some reason now its Chrysler's time to stay in the spot light for a while,they are going so high that people cant afford them anymore,anything like a ,gtx, or dodge dart gt,will go up every day in value,you cant loose right now with a Chrysler product,good luck with it.
